Item 8.01 Other events.
The United States Attorney’s office in the Southern District of Texas has advised Chicago Title
Insurance Company that it will not be indicted in connection with the matters set forth in its
target letter of February 16, 2007. The Company is continuing to cooperate with the United States
Attorney’s office. The receipt of the target letter was previously disclosed by the Company in its
SEC reports, most recently in its quarterly report on Form 10-Q for the period ended March 31,
2007.
