SANTA BARBARA, Calif., Aug 6, 2003 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX/ --
FNIS (Nasdaq: FNIS), the nation's most comprehensive source for real estate-related data and valuations, technology solutions and services, and RE/MAX International, a leading real estate organization in the United States and Canada, today jointly announced the renaming and re-branding initiative for two market-leading products -- RE/MAX Agent 2000(TM) and RE/MAX Office 2000(TM).
The collaborative re-introduction of RE/MAX Agent 2000 as AgentOffice for RE/MAX, and RE/MAX Office 2000 as Broker BackOffice Pro for RE/MAX provides an excellent opportunity to achieve new brand awareness and enrich the successful FNIS -- RE/MAX relationship. Under the new name, both products will continue to be offered to RE/MAX affiliates as powerful solutions to automate office management processes. Our commitment of integrating solutions designed to make brokers and their agents more productive and profitable on every transaction has not changed. What is new is the name of each product -- AgentOffice for RE/MAX and Broker BackOffice Pro for RE/MAX.
"While these brands have become synonymous with agent and broker productivity tools for RE/MAX associates, referencing the year 2000 in the product name is inappropriate today and going forward," said FNIS Chief Executive Officer Patrick F. Stone. "With more than 12,000 RE/MAX associates currently using the product, RE/MAX Agent 2000 has gained broad brand acceptance since its introduction and with more than 1,500 RE/MAX broker associates currently using RE/MAX Office 2000, this significant market presence will enable the renaming to occur with minimal disruption and confusion," Stone said.
Simultaneous to the renaming of both of these products, FNIS is launching its new 32-bit Broker BackOffice Pro for RE/MAX, and positioning it as the most cost-effective back office product available for RE/MAX broker/owners. The new 32-bit version will enable interfacing to the Internet and email capabilities.
"As technology advances are made, it is important that our members have the newest products available," said Kristi Graning, RE/MAX vice president of Web Services and Technology Marketing. "These updates, including the more appropriate names, will provide RE/MAX offices and agents the most efficient tools available for their office and personal real estate business operations."
New logo designs will be incorporated in all future FNIS and RE/MAX promotional material, including Web sites, brochures, data sheets, forms and packaging material. Additionally, all product marketing for Broker BackOffice Pro for RE/MAX will combine communications for the new name and branding with the launch of the new 32-bit version of the product.
During the past six years, FNIS has enjoyed a successful relationship with RE/MAX International, offering RE/MAX associates and brokers private branded technology tools. AgentOffice for RE/MAX, formerly known as Agent 2000 and Broker BackOffice Pro for RE/MAX, formerly known as Office 2000, were designed exclusively for RE/MAX International to provide solutions to help RE/MAX brokers manage their business effectively.
